While we ensure our travelers participate in a meaningful and vibrant tour full of educational and rewarding opportunities, the safety of our travelers is paramount to us. This is why we prioritize the following standards to ensure the best experience possible for your travels.

Unique Second Team Leader on Each Tour

What sets us apart in the tourism industry is having not one but at least two full-time staff personnel with each individual tour group. We take student travel, and the lives of our individual travelers, very seriously. In addition to the main 24/7 guide, most of our tours are accompanied by a secondary Tour Assistant (TA).

This individual is responsible for assisting the main guide and providing a safety vehicle that follows the coach bus. He or she also has the task of carrying cold filtered water in large containers and have it ready for the group at multiple times throughout the day. Lastly, the TA provides another set of eyes on the group which double our supervision of travelers.

Many groups also have a Tour Manager and other staff members ready to assist as needed.

About Our Staff

We hire experienced and professional guides who are state/country certified as guides. Each staff member must submit a clean background check and additional safety checks and training in order to work with us.

99% of our guides are 24/7 with their group. This means they are present from when you get off the plane to when you get back on. They also lodge where the group lodges.

We also offer optional hotel hallway monitors for your groups, so you can rest assured that you will remain well-supervised at night.

Lastly, our staff takes the time to educate our travelers on how to travel safely and respectfully through various handouts. We also have a discipline waiver form.

Medical Safety Measures

Vamonos Tours is committed to the health and medical safety of our travelers. Our tour directors and assistants are certified in both CPR and First Aid. In order to decrease illnesses due to dehydration, we constantly remind travelers to drink more water and make it readily available as often as possible. We also implement safety standards related to the prevention of COVID-19 and other viruses, aligned with CDC-required cleaning and other measures to help keep you safe.

Travel Safety Procedures

At Vamonos Tours, we purposefully create itineraries that keep our travelers as safe and as culturally immersed as possible. We hire the most responsible private charter transportation companies for our travelers, and tour groups of 10 travelers or more are usually escorted by a secondary emergency vehicle.

Additionally, We offer three different insurance plans through Arch RoamRight. These are the Pro Plan, the Pro Plus Plan, and the Cancelflex Plan. We know that a change in plans can happen, which is why the Cancelflex Plan option allows travelers to cancel for any reason and receive 60% of their deposits back.
